The glass is made in Spain of 100% post-consumer recycled material. It is filled with pure raw beeswax which has been lightly filtered to provide the best possible burn. And just in case you missed it --- there are three wicks! This will make sure all the wax gets burned, and three wicks look really cool when lit.

We also make custom refill candles for this glass. Save an additional 10% when you subscribe to them.

Features

  • Average Burn Time: ~18 hours
  • Poured into 100% post-consumer recycled Spanish glass
  • 100% pure, lightly filtered beeswax
  • Non-toxic, lead-free, hypoallergenic
  • Cotton wick - no lead or metal
  • Custom refills are available in Pure Beeswax and Beeswax Botanica (scented with essential oils)

Dimensions & Care

  • 10oz glass holder. 4.25in dia. x 2.5in ht.
  • Trim the wicks to 1/4" before every lighting.
  • To maximize burn time, allow the candle to burn until the molten pool has reached the glass wall. You can continue to burn the candle at this point.
  • To prevent uneven burning, use a metal tool to redirect a curled or angled wick to the opposite direction. To prevent wick breakage when doing this, be sure to nudge the wicks below the level of the molten pool where the wicks are not burned and thus stronger.
  • If you need to clear any leftover beeswax from your glassware before refilling or reusing, we recommend heat. A heat gun is great, if you happen to have one, and a strong hair dryer often does the trick -- warming the beeswax enough to wipe clean with a paper towel. You can also place our glass holders in your oven on its lowest setting for just a few minutes (please place the holder in there right away, while the oven heats up, as putting cold glass in a hot oven will cause it to crack).

Just Gorgeous

I love the heavy glass candle holder. 100% beeswax is very sticky and I found myself moving the metal discs holding the wicks around in an attempt to melt the wax off the sides of the holder. It burned very well and lovely to look at. Putting the spent glass holder in a 200* oven melted the leftovers, which were poured out and the hot glass wiped out with a paper towel. Good as brand new and ready for a new candle!

Thank you so much for this review of our votive holders, Gail! Especially grateful to get more tips out there about cleaning and reusig these cuties -- heating them up is a great idea! Folks can also try pouring boiling water inside their glass holders and allowing to cool -- excess beeswax will naturally float to the top for easy removal. Either way, we're so glad you're enjoying our handmade candles and holders -- thanks for choosing Bluecorn!

Great patio candle; now we need 3-wick refills

This is a lovely, 3-wick beeswax candle for summertime evenings & for repelling wasps (yellow jackets) with its high heat source that confuses their “navigation” and scent tracking; however, we need a 3-wick refill for the attractive glass holder. And PLEASE add mosquito-repelling, natural citronella to the beeswax! We now have foreign Asian tiger skeeters that bite day and night. Ugh! Your alternate (soy? coconut?) wax candles with citronella work great… except that their wax liquefies in our CA summer heat (even in shade!) and then the wicks sink below the wax. Besides… your beeswax is why we order candles from BlueCorn!

Thank you so much for this feedback, LP! First of all, I want to share the good news that we absolutely do offer 3-wick refills for this gorgeous Spanish glass! You can find them via the link below, or in the 'Refillable Glassware' section under 'Pure Beeswax' or in the Botanica shop all section (if you're looking for scented).

That said, we don't currnetly offer a Citronella scented pure beeswax candle and it's an interesting suggestion -- we'll discuss in house! Duly noted re: the low melting temp of the coconut wax version. We've started wrapping these cutities up whent they're headed to hot destinations, but for sure beeswax is the best choice for folks worried about melting in summer!

Thanks again for chosing Bluecorn and please don't hestiate to reach out with any further quetions! - Tessa

Perfect for emergencies

I found out I needed more emergency candles during a three-day power outage this past winter. Bought this second candle and a refill to have on hand.

Thank you for this review, Myrriah! Pure beeswax candles offer such great burn times -- they certainly makes for an awesome (and soothing) emergency candle. Bee well, Bluecorn
